In a world that constantly asks for more, sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is pause.

For Marty and me, that pause came in the form of a three-day escape to Shambhala — a tucked-away sanctuary in Byron Bay that felt like a sacred slice of Indonesia, placed quietly between the trees and the sea. It wasn’t about needing to go away to reset — it was about choosing to. Choosing to ground. To realign. To reconnect with the rituals that bring us back to ourselves.

This was the start of our Ritual Reset.

We stayed in a peaceful two-bedroom, two-storey home surrounded by nature, overlooking the beach. Ocean sunrises. Cabana dinners. Saunas and steam. And silence — the kind that softens you from the inside out.

Shambhala held us.

But it wasn’t just the place.
It was the intention.

We paired the beauty of the location with a rhythm of realignment — using Salt Lab’s magnesium recovery products and our very own 21-Day Ritual Reset Tracker, designed by us for Salt Lab.

So what does an evening ritual actually look like?
Here’s mine — the one I return to again and again, especially after big days, long seasons, or moments of transition:

1. Screen-Free + Lights Down
I turn off my phone one hour before sleep and dim the lights in the house. It’s a message to my nervous system: you’re safe to slow down now.

2. Magnesium Ritual with Salt Lab
I spray the Salt Lab Magnesium Oil on my stomach, temples, and feet, then finish with their Recovery Cream across any tension points — shoulders, neck, lower back.
Magnesium helps me unwind, sleep deeper, and wake up feeling recharged — but it’s the ritual of it that really matters. That moment of care.

3. Reflection in My Planner and Tracker
I use the Ritual Reset Tracker to reflect:

  • How did I feel today?

  • What do I need to let go of before sleep?

  • What am I grateful for?

Writing it down clears my mind more than any app ever could.

4. Rest Hot Chocolate + No Tasks
This is my soft close. Now that it's cooler, I’ve been loving my magnesium-infused Rest Hot Chocolates. No laptop. No “just one more thing.” Sometimes Martin and I sit and reflect. Sometimes it’s just me, the dogs, and quiet.

5. Breathing to Close the Day
A few minutes of breathwork: Inhale for 4. Exhale for 6.
If my mind wanders, I place a hand on my chest and simply say: thank you for today.

Why this matters:
Sleep isn’t just where we rest — it’s where we repair.
Without it, we’re pouring from a cracked cup.
Without deep sleep, the body can’t fully restore, reset, or integrate what we’ve asked of it.

Performance isn’t about how much you can push — it’s about how well you can recover.

At Not Stationary, we believe self-care is self-leadership. It’s how we show up for ourselves first, so we can lead, love, and live with more intention.

That’s why we were excited to design the 21-Day Ritual Reset Tracker for Clementine and Salt Lab— to help create space for stillness, and to bring rhythm back into the rush.

This reset was never about doing more.
It was about softening. Grounding. Choosing presence over pressure.

It reminded us that the most powerful rituals are the simple ones — the ones we commit to quietly, again and again. Not out of discipline, but out of devotion.

However life looks right now — whether you’re in a season of growth, stretch, or simply holding it all together — I hope this inspires you to pause, even briefly.

To reconnect with what’s underneath it all.
To come home to yourself.

With love,
