About Not Stationary
We’re Michelle and Martin Taupau, co-founders of Not Stationary, partners in life and business, parents to four incredible kids, and proud fur parents to two beautiful Labradors.
As a high-performance coach (Michelle) and an elite athlete (Martin), we’ve spent our lives pursuing growth. But in July 2023, during a long road trip from Brisbane to Sydney, we had a realisation: there was no tool that truly supported daily progress—not just productivity, but mindset, reflection, and continuous improvement.
We wanted something more than just a planner. Something that could guide people from vision to action, help them set meaningful goals, and inspire them to get 1% better every day. When we couldn’t find it, we decided to create it.

From Idea to Reality
As we brainstormed names, Martin suggested incorporating “stationery.” Michelle’s instant reaction? “No hun, this isn’t just stationery; it’s about life, about never standing still. It’s Not Stationary.”
That was it. The name captured everything we believed in - growth, momentum, and the power of intentional action.
We set out to design something that felt like a personal coach in your pocket—a tool that helps anyone, from professionals to athletes, stay focused, reflect daily, and take consistent action.
Bringing the 2024 Performance Planner to life was both exciting and challenging. From design to production to logistics, every step pushed us outside our comfort zones. We had no idea if people would connect with it the way we did.
Then, in December 2023, our first shipment arrived. Holding that sleek, minimalist, and thoughtfully designed planner in our hands was a moment we’ll never forget. And when people started using it and sharing how it transformed their daily habits, we knew we had created something truly special.
