When we first started talking with Jennifer and Carlos about creating a coffee together, we knew we did not want to simply choose a blend, add our logo and call it a collaboration.
We wanted to understand the coffee properly, and we wanted them to understand what we were trying to create through Not Stationary. So we spent time together tasting, talking, asking questions and learning from each other. Carlos shared his knowledge of the beans, the roast, the balance of flavours and what makes a coffee genuinely good. In return, we shared the way we think about behaviour, ritual, consistency and those small moments in the day that can completely change how we show up.
The more we talked, the more the idea started to take shape. We were not trying to create a coffee just for the sake of having one. We wanted to create something that could sit naturally inside people's lives and become part of a moment they already have.
A coffee before the day gets busy. A pause between meetings. A few minutes with a planner open in front of you. A conversation with someone you care about. A moment to reset and come back to what matters.
We spent hours tasting, talking and refining because we wanted the coffee to feel considered from every angle, from the flavour itself to the experience around it.
That process is what made the collaboration feel so special to us. We learned from Jennifer and Carlos, they learned from us, and somewhere in the middle The 1% Blend became something that genuinely reflects both brands.
